AWCA 32nd Annual Benefit Dinner

This year’s Annual Benefit Dinner will commemorate the AWCA’s 32 years of community outreach services.  The dinner will highlight prominent leaders of corporate giving, as well as upstanding citizens who have donated their invaluable time to directly create effective change.  The proceeds from the evening’s festivities will support the various AWCA programs to provide necessary resources for the community and in continually serving for the future.

• KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Mr. Tim O’Brien, current Counsel to Lee International IP and Law Group, received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School, and his A.B., cum laude, from Yale College.  He served as a 1967 U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer to South Korea for 5 years.  During his time with the Peace Corps, he helped develop rural areas such as Anmyeondo Island.  Mr. O’Brien has also served on the Board of Directors of the Korea Society in New York and is a current Fellow and Director at the Institute of Corean-American Studies.  He volunteered in his professional capacity to launch the Hong Kong division of the Global Children’s Foundation, joined the Eugene Bell Foundation’s mission to North Korea in 2003, and continues to support the eradication of homelessness and the development of shelters in Seoul.
